  • Marta Rovira who is the general secretary of the Esquerra Republicana returned to Spain with 3 other Catalan separatists who were in exile.
  • They were granted Amnesty after a law was passed on the 30th of May for their involvement in attempted secession in October 2017
  • Catalan separatist Marta Rovira and a journalist, and activist are now able to return to the country since the Spanish justice system has dropped the charges against them for succession. They are accused of terrorism and rebellion against the Spanish state but all charges have been dismissed.
  • 300 people gathered to welcome them on a Friday afternoon in Cantallops a village situated at the Spanish site of Pyrenees.
