- The head of the Kenyan police has resigned due to violent crashes in the country and an all-time protest. This comes at a time when the President Ruto dismissed most government officials and ministers.
- The Kenyan people are angry about the increased finance bill that the local law enforcement suppressed.
- Japhet Koome resigned on July 12 2024 and the President Mr Ruto accepted the resignation. On the 25th of June riot erupted and young people stormed the parliament. The police fired live bullets at the crowd and killed some protesters.
- According to the Human Rights Protection Agency, 39 people have died so far in the protest.
