Why do MOSQUITOES bite some people but leave others alone?
Have you ever wondered why mosquitoes bite other people and allow others alone. There are times in our homes when we have a visitor Mosquito tends to bite them more than those who are already in the house.
Mosquitoes use scent to find their prey, with carbon dioxide being a key factor in their search. When we exhale CO2 while breathing, it acts as one of the most powerful signals for mosquitoes to locate us and bite us.
Interestingly, the amount of CO2 we exhale does play a very significant role for mosquito bites.. Larger people tend to exhale more carbon dioxide, making them more attractive to mosquitoes and therefore more likely to get bitten, according to experts.
This is the reason men get bitten more often than women and pregnant women than non-pregnant women.
