He did exactly what Ananias and Saphira did when they bought their proceeds to the Apostles and were severely punished. They sold a portion of land then brought crumbs to God.
Secondly, he was not obligated to give anything. He would have just said thank you and left.
I think if you are reading this don’t be in this type of situation. Show real appreciation for what God has done or is doing in your life. By then I was still growing in ministry and am sure it contributed to this. He saw this preacher in a small room and then despised and brought crumbs. If I had a big church by then he would have not done that.
Respect every preacher even if the preacher is just starting out in ministry. Don’t look down on any preacher.
The fact that a preacher has a small church does not mean his grace is different from the preacher with a bigger church. It may just be that he is starting his ministry and every project starts small, even a church.
