Those who want to become wealthy must have the trademark of persistence. Mr. Vincent Bakabe Baduma was a man who persisted his way into fortune. Lone child of his parents with no inheritance handed by the latter, he still managed to become one of the wealthiest people to walk the face of the earth.
He was born into an Oroko family. He grew up in poverty and was sponsored in school by an Uncle who took him in, as his own child. After completing his secondary education, he went to Nigeria to further his studies and had his diploma. Returning to Cameroon he was well prepared to face his future.
Many companies came to him but he rejected them saying he needed hand work. CDC at the time needed him as a manager but he refused. He knew becoming an entrepreneur is better than working for someone else or the government.
He finally worked with a white company in watch repairing and sales of watches. When he had saved enough money, he decided to travel abroad to expand his knowledge as an Entrepreneur. After having studied in Suisse and obtaining his diploma as a watch engineer he returned to Cameroon.
It is at this juncture that he decided to start his own enterprise called “United Lovers Enterprise”. His goal and objective was to have workers who are united in purpose. People who speak the same language of work and are determined for success.
Despite all his challenges at the beginning of his life and during his stay in Douala. Mr. Vincent Bakabe Baduma persisted his way into fortune. Not long enough, the money started flowing. The Enterprise recorded mind blowing profits. The profit from his enterprise enabled him to buy lands, build rental properties, own vast cocoa farms which still generates money up till date. Mr. Vincent despite his little beginnings, persisted his way into fortune. He understood to be wealthy you have to become your own boss. You have to keep going despite opposition forces.
NEVER GIVE UP.
People give up for many reasons. But in life if you want to succeed you should never give up. Giving up is not an option for any person that desires success and wants to become a millionaire. Millionaires or successful people have learned when things get tough it simply means success is around the corner.
5 Reasons people give up in life.
1} Tiredness. Most people give up in life due to tiredness or fatigue. When a man is tired he cannot think Properly. You have to always boost your energy every morning. Make sure you have enough rest. If you find yourself tired because of work, take a break and have a nap so you recover your lost energy. Tiredness could lead to a lot of mistakes at work. Poor work means poor delivery and you end up abandoning a great project that would have caused a lot of impact in your life.
2} Mockery. Mockery is another major factor why most people give up in life. When they take a project and mistakenly blundered, they get mockeries from friends and sometimes from family members. This inability to overcome mockery makes them give up. You should never be bothered about what people say or think about you and your projects. Even if you fail, or the project did not go as planned, never give in to mockeries. Your projects and goals of who you want to become are weapons that should defeat all opposition.
3} Continued failures. Most people give up in life due to continuous failures. Every project they carry on or plan they take leads to failure. Because of this continuous failure they give up. But you don’t have to give up no matter what you experience in life. Negative experiences are good because they help sharpen your mind. Failures are the birth rock to success. Keep trying no matter how many times you fail. Don’t give up.
4} Lack of strong desire. Lack of a strong desire is another factor people give up in life. When your desire to be rich and successful is weak you will achieve little or practically no results in your work. Having a strong desire keeps you going no matter the failures you encounter. Your eyes are set on your objectives and you are unshakable. To develop a strong desire, you have to set goals and be sure of exactly what you want to become.
5} The Inability to think. Lazy people refuse to think their way into success. They take action before they think. Their thinking pattern is weak and they are not creative in their thoughts. You have to develop the ability to think your way through to success. Before you take on any project, you have to think first on the pros and cons of such a project. Thinking your projects through before starting gives you an insight. You may receive supernatural working patterns even before you embark on the project. This ability to think alone before starting your projects could change your life.
WHEN ALL FAILS.
There are times we have done all that we needed to do in order to succeed but success is not forthcoming. At this juncture when all fails what should be my reaction? When my knowledge is exhausted and my ability to work has been worn out. I have done all that is needed to be done. I knew this time around I would succeed but still I failed. What should be my reaction?
When all fails try to laugh. Many don’t know the power of laughter. laughter has the tendency to quicken your mind and help you master depression. Instead of being worried and getting depressed and sad, laugh your way out. Laughter sends a message to the devil of you saying “I am not done yet”. When all fails, laugh. Look at yourself in the mirror and laugh.
Look for plan Z. Look for plan Z when all fails. This means that you are not done yet trying. It’s only the mind that cheats on you by making you believe all is over with you. We have heard of Kentucky fried chicken. The colonel who started it failed several times. At 70+ age he still believed in plan Z. He became a millionaire at age 70+ from this business.
Seeking advice from experts. When all fails seek advice from those who have succeeded. Try to find out what they did that you never did or is not doing presently. A simple piece of advice can motivate you and galvanize your energy into another level of spiritual awareness on what to do in order to start succeeding.
Take a Break. When all you have done to achieve success fails, take a break. There are times when taking a break is necessary regardless of what others say or think. Taking a break may bring to your attention some close things on why you are not succeeding in your projects and life in general. Take a break and have a rethink and re-strategize. Check out the reason for the continuous failures in your life. Believe me you will get an answer. When it’s done, don’t waste anymore time just bounce back.
Start over. When all has failed, should I just sit down doing nothing? The answer is “NO” You have to start all over. Be ready to fail even 1000 times but the essential and wise thing to do is not to give up. Thomas Edison failed several times but never gave up and today we enjoy the fruits of his patience the “incandescent bulb’. If he gave up, the world would have still been in darkness. Be ready to start over and over again when all fails.
PERSISTENCE THE MOTHER OF SUCCESS.
Persistence is the mother of all achievements. Persistence is the mother of success. People who succeeded have this in common the “spirit of persistence”. Persistence is different from patience. Many people have the virtues of patience but lack the virtues of persistence. Patience is good but very minimal in the accumulation of wealth.
Patience can offer you a job but persistence can keep the job. Patience can offer you a good business but persistence can make you continue running the business in the midst of tribulations. Here is an illustration: 2 people are waiting for a contract at the desk in front of an office. The contractor does not show up on time. One person waited, and waited and then left in total discouragement. While the second person keeps waiting despite the delay of the contractor. Then he came and signed the contract with the fellow that was still there. The first fellow had patience while the second had perseverance as a virtue. That’s the difference between a patient person and a persevered person.

Persistence is the mother of success and can only be compared to a mother and his baby. Imagine yourself being the mother” persistence” and success is your child. The reason you need the virtues of perseverance can be compared to this scenario.

Conceiving and putting to birth at 9 months is a normal thing for every woman. When it’s below it looks strange, and when it’s above 9 months it’s still strange. During pregnancy the woman has all types of troubles. From vomiting to loss of appetite. It is a very challenging moment for every woman. This is the same thing with success. You must carry it for 9 months, it could be 9 years. One thing is sure you must carry it and have all the trials and problems that come with it.
Sleepless Nights.
A mother who just gave birth has sleepless nights due to the shout and cry of the baby. She will get up at night just to check and see if her baby is okay. She is worried about a single noise coming from her babies’ room. She is thinking on some occasions why is her baby crying like this? This gives her Sleepless nights.
Success, just like a baby, gives sleepless nights. You have to check on your work. You have to check how much profit you made the day before. You think about how a colleague messed up with you or what your boss will say to you the next day. All these are actions to really test your perseverance and if you are really fit for the success coming your way.

Breastfeeding a child is another law for a mother. Every woman was given a breast by God so they could breastfeed their babies. This is another process where the baby sucks your own substance. Taking out strength from your body. Some women have to eat well before breastfeeding their babies. Despite this she will never give up on her baby even if she has to use her last energy to do so. This goes the same way for success. You have to nurture your work and spend all your substance on it. You have to use your last money to solve a problem at your work. Despite the pain and all that the mother goes through she still loves her child. She prefers to go through all those things because she knows she is doing herself a favor by raising up the next president, minister and great person in society. You too when you undergo all those challenges, it’s a way to test your motherhood. To really see if what you do you really deserve the success. A mother is being tested on this to see if she is fit for the next task. If she is careless she won’t even see the child’s next move or growth cycle. We have seen mothers lose their babies due to carelessness. A mother also tests the child on many occasions like how to say: papa or mama” She trains her child on how to walk and many others. I want you to know that life is in stages. Just like the growth of a child is in stages. You won’t escape or skip a stage. A mother has to persevere for her baby’s growth until he becomes a man. You too have to persevere with the growth of your business or projects at hand. You will have to take every life exam before success comes. Perseverance is the mother of success.
DISCOURAGING FACTORS.
There are many factors that can really discourage people from engaging in activities that are life changing. The world we live in is full of so many types of discouraging circumstances that happen out of our control. But despite this some people have emerged winners in their lives and activities. Our role is to identify those factors and do our possible best to overcome them.
Lack of capital to start a business.
The lack of capital could be a very discouraging factor. Many people are discouraged in life due to the fact that they want to start a business or engage in a project but they lack the capital to start. Learn how to raise money for your business. The most powerful weapon you have is to ask. Asking is a weapon many don’t know. Think about who you can contact, when thinking about how to raise money for your business. Lack of support from relatives and acquaintances.
Lack of support from relatives is another discouraging factor and a more serious one. There are times we expect more from them but we get nothing. You must learn to depend solely on your ability to succeed rather than to depend on others.
Embarking on a project others are already actively involved in your area. There are times we want to start a business but those businesses are already on every corner of the street. We want to open a phone booth or open a shop but everyone has them around us. The solution for this is to relocate to another area where there are limited competitors.
Job rejection.
Job application rejection is another discouraging factor for most people. It is really hard braking when you hear the word ‘NO’ again and again. The solution for this is to become your own boss. Start your own business and be free from this type of rejection.
