The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. This is where most Christians and even pastors get it wrong. The Bible did not say money but the love of money. It is the love of money that leads to all kinds of evil and not money. Money is good because without money you can’t advance the kingdom in this modern age.
Many Christians believe God does not want them to be rich. They think God wants them to suffer. They believe poverty is part of the price they have to pay for their salvation. Poverty is not part of the price to pay for being saved. The price to pay for being saved is persecution, trials, and tribulations. This thought will keep you poor if you continue to believe God wants you poor.
Fear has kept many Christians in poverty. The reason you are not financially fit is because of fear. God says several times ‘Do not fear. The fear of poverty will make you poor. The fear of not having enough money will keep money away from you. You have to kill and overcome your fears if you want to be rich. The best and the most effective way to overcome fear is to keep a life of prayers and fasting. Stop watching negative news about financial crises.
If you believe all rich people are thieves, there is no way you can be rich. God bless Abraham and the Bible says Abraham was rich in Silver, Cattle, and Gold. God can lift up people and make them financially able. These thoughts have kept many Christians poor and broke.
Many Christians believe they are supposed to be poor. Many see poverty as a normal thing. So they embrace it. Some cherish it and are comfortable being poor. So long as their spiritual life is okay then the rest don’t care. Yet the Bible says ‘Beloved I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. God wants you to prosper even as your soul is prospering. Don’t allow just your soul to prosper, prosper in all domains. This is what God wants for you.
Many Christians are of the belief that if God wants them rich then they should just be and riches will come. This is an excuse for poverty. God already set the table before you in the presence of your enemies. Wealth and riches shall be in the house of the just [ Psalms 112.3]. You have to come out of your comfort zone and know God has already provided all the necessary resources for you to be rich. He loves you so much.
