Why do MOSQUITOES bite some people but leave others alone?

- Mosquitoes use scent to find their prey, with carbon dioxide being a key factor in their search. When we exhale CO2 while breathing, it acts as one of the most powerful signals for mosquitoes to locate us and bite us.
- Interestingly, the amount of CO2 we exhale does play a very significant role for mosquito bites.. Larger people tend to exhale more carbon dioxide, making them more attractive to mosquitoes and therefore more likely to get bitten, according to experts.
- This is the reason men get bitten more often than women and pregnant women than non-pregnant women.
